Simsbury Triathlon

Course Information

  • Trail Run - New this year: The race will start and finish at the Simsbury Performing Arts Center.

This year’s triathlon begins with the Melissa Milan Memorial Run, sponsored by Fleet Feet. The run will begin with a lap around the soccer fields and after waving to family & friends, you will head off for a 5K trail through Simsbury Meadows. Enjoy your run on the lost but not forgotten and now re-established “River Walk” trail system.

  • BicyclingDownload the cycling cue sheet!
The Bicycle Cellar is sponsoring the bike section, which is a 2-loop ride (spectator friendly and approximately 12 miles) on Simsbury’s scenic country roads paralleling the Farmington River.

  • Kayaking - The paddle, sponsored by Collinsville Canoe & Kayak, will begin at its new launch site just under Simsbury’s Landmark Flower Bridge - a great place for spectators. A 2-mile paddle will take you up river first. After the turnaround, enjoy the down-river paddle back under the Flower Bridge to the take out point, after which you will finish with a strong run back to the Performing Arts Center Finish.

Most participants will finish the race in approximately 1.5 - 2.5 hours.

Support: There will be 1-2 water stations on the running trail and water in the transition area. There will be a port-a-potty in the transition area and at the finish line. The transition area will be secured and monitored.
